Philosophy
Projects large and small are created using these guiding principles:
Client:
It is understood the client is the most important part of the design equation. Establishing their needs, fulfilling their dreams, and enriching their lives by improving their environment is at the core of defining the success of any architectural project large or small. Their participation in the design process is as integral to the project as is that of the architect.
Site:
We employ a thorough analysis of all elements relating to the land on which a building is to be constructed as a point of departure, or “generator” for the design concept. We work to define the importance of the land and its use to shape the design of a building that aspires to belong wholly to that land and its users.
Sun/Wind/Light/Climate:
An analytical approach in the beginning of the design process starts with proper solar orientation, consideration of prevailing winds, where to find and use the best light, and how a structure should be shaped by its environment. This approach to design will always yield the most responsible and comfortable solutions.
Precedent:
Our clients often have something in mind, a vision of their own they need help in realizing. We find sensibility and beauty in many things, a trait essential to understanding the tastes and desires of our clients as well as building upon successes of the past.
Service:
We offer a full range of architectural design services. These phases include programming and site analysis, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiations, and construction administration. We believe our success is primarily measured by our client satisfaction. This can only be achieved by always delivering a level of service beyond our client expectations.
