An office upfit intended to reflect the craft and values of a builder with a love of all things boat-related is realized inside a slightly better than ordinary office building. A central, square conference room is surprisingly contained within a mass of beveled edges. The irregular thickness of the mass’s walls house copiers, libraries, fax, trash, and storage, and angle around the natural walking path of its occupants. Natural lighting in the conference is creatively captured through frosted glass in line with windows of the shell building. A conference wall pass-through allows office manager to participate in meetings at her desk. Sight-lines from the back corner boss’s office allows for surveillance of new arrivals, communication with the office manager, adjacent conference room and workroom. Each and every inch of the space is fitted with yacht quality efficiency and craftsmanship. Productivity is up in this office.
